Let the Suffocating Begin - But Do You Really? 21 Apr 2020

We are in "Battle"! But we are assured Victory! St Paul tells us how to suffocate the enemy by taking every thought captive and have it come under the obedience of Christ! (2 Cor 10:3-6). And we can do this on a Practical Level everyday! To do so, we need to be familiar with scripture so that in any situation we are equipped to Claim the Victory! Hebrews 4 speaks to us about how to APPLY the Word which is Living and Effective. WHAT we need. When we need it. And HOW we need it are all accounted for by the King of Kings as He is the Way Maker, Miracle Worker, Promise Keeper and Light in the Darkness! This has been SEALED in the Blood of the Lamb and by His Stripes we ARE healed - but how many of us claim this healing by His Stripes? We don't want to miss this question to ourselves, because to do so would miss, the point of the Passion.

In James 1 we are given our "marching orders" if you will that equipment us for our position IN Christ: That is to consider it Pure Joy when we receive trials! This "joy" suffocates the enemy because he does not want to be exposed to the "spiritual oxygen" of JOY! JOY, is a true sword against the enemy; as is "Hope that does not Disappoint" (Romans 5) as is His Plans of Hope (Jer 29).

We can be assured that the Lord has prepared us for Victory as He has said that His Grace is sufficient for us (2 Cor 12:9). Our reliance needs to be on the wisdom of God and not for our own intellect, ( Prov 3:5) for our intellect can be easily influenced by emotions (which are fickle).

Jesus sent us the Advocate and Counselor for our journey (Jn 14:26). When we follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit we can rest assure that our path is being directed by the Wisdom of heaven and if we keep our eyes on that which is above then all else will be added.(Mat 6:33). Follow along in this teaching in the Upper Room as we keep our eyes on heaven and trust where Love will lead us!
